The technical rim serves as an additional reinforcement and protection for the pool structure. It strengthens the pool basin and plays a crucial role during loading, transportation, and unloading, when the pool is most vulnerable to damage.
However, the technical rim is no longer a part of the pool once the basin is installed in the excavation. It can be completely removed or covered with a pool deck element, such as a coping stone. Additionally, the technical rim is not covered by warranty, and any scratches or chips that occur during transport, unloading, or pool installation cannot be the basis for a claim. The purpose of the rim is to ensure that any minor damages that may occur are concentrated on this element rather than on the pool walls.
